Welcome to the Website of the Anglican Parish of Woolston.
Our Church complex is situated on the corner of Ferry Road and St Johns Street in Woolston, Christchurch.
The parish has been a centre of Christian worship, witness, and service since 1857. The current church, dedicated to St John the Evangelist, was opened in the early 1960s and was extensively repaired and refurbished after the earthquakes of 2011.Currently we are very much a work in progress. We love welcoming newcomers and helping them feel at home as we celebrate God’s love for us through Jesus Christ. Our main Sunday service is a weekly Eucharist held at 10.00 a.m. followed by morning tea. See the Services and Events page for more details of what we offer the community each week. .
